MATERIAL SAFETY DATA SHEET

1. PRODUCT:   Cast Stretch Film

2. COMPOSITION / INFORMATION ON INGREDIENTS
Plastic stretch film manufactured from raw material of Co-Polymer of ethylene and octane/Hexene/Butene.  Extruded under controlled processing conditions using Statistical Process Control.

3. HAZARDS IDENTIFICATION
EMERGENCY OVERVIEW
*Color: Clear appearance:   Thin plastic film   Odor: None   Toxic fumes released in fire situation
POTENTIAL HEALTH EFFECTS
EYE: Plastic cast stretch film will not cause irritation to the eyes under normal use.
SKIN: Essentially non-irritating to the skin.  A single prolonged exposure is not likely to result in the material being absorbed into the skin, nor cause any irritation to the skin
INGESTION:  Small dose oral toxicity is believed to be very low.  No hazards anticipated from in- gestion incident to industrial exposure.
SYSTEMIC: (OTHER TARGET ORGANS) EFFECTS: No relevant information found.
CHILD SAFETY:   Keep plastic film away from small children, infants and babies as it may cling to nose or mouth and prevent breathing.

4. FIRST AID
Ingestion:   No adverse effects  anticipated  by  this  route  of  exposure incident to proper industrial han- dling

5. FIRE FIGHTING MEASURES

FLAMMABLE PROPERTIES
FLSH POINT           : Not applicable
METHOD USED      : Not applicable
FLAMMABLE LIMITS
LFL      : Not applicable
UFL      : Not applicable
HAZARDOUS COMBUSTION PRODUCTS:  Under fire condition, plastic films decompose.  The smoke may contain polymer fragments of varying compositions in addition to unidentified toxic and / or irritating compounds.  Hazardous combustion products may include and are not limited to car- bon monoxide and carbon dioxide.
OTHER FLAMMABLE INFORMATION:  Dense smoke is emitted when burned without sufficient oxygen.
EXTINGUISHING MEDIA:  Water, carbon dioxide, and dry chemical.
Fire fighting instructions:  Keep people away.  Isolate fire area and unnecessary entry.  Cool sur- roundings with water to localize fire zone.  Hand held carbon dioxide or dry chemical extinguishers may be used for small fires.  Soak thoroughly with water to prevent ignition.
PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT FOR FIREFIGHTERS:  Wear positive-pressure, self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA) and protective fire fighting clothing (Includes fire fighting helmet, coat, pants, boots and gloves).  If protective equipment is not available or not used, fight fire from a pro- tected location or safe distance.

6. HANDLING AND STORAGE
HANDLING:  Good housekeeping is necessary for safe handling of product.  Electrically ground all machinery. STORAGE: The plastic stretch film should be stored in a manner that it is not exposed to very long periods of ultra violet light.

7. PHISICAL AND CHEMICAL PROPERTIES
APPEARANCE / PHYSICAL STATE:  Clear, light, soft plastic sheet film ODOR: No odor  VAPOR PRESSURE:  Not applicable VAPOR DENSITY:  Not applicable BOILING POINT:  Not applicable SOLUBILITY IN WATER/MISCIBILITY:  Nil SPECIFIC GRAVITY: 0.89 – 0.95 GR/CM3

8. STABILITY AND REACTIVITY
CHEMICAL STABILITY:  Stable CONDITIONS TO AVOID: Product can decompose under elevated temperatures INCOMPABILITY WITH OTHER MATERIALS: None known

9. ECOLOGICAL INFORMATION
Because of the high molecular weight (MW>100), in the terrestrial environment, material is ex- pected to remain in the soil.  In the aquatic environment, the material is expected to float.
DEGRADATION AND PERISTENCE:  This water insoluble polymeric solid is expected to be in- ert in the environment.  Surface photo degradation is expected with exposure to ultra violet rays.  No appreciable biodegradation is expected.
ECOTOXICITY:  Not expected to be acutely toxic.

10. DISPOSAL CONSIDERATIONS
DO NOT DUMP INTO ANY SEWERS, ON THE GROUND OR INTO ANY BODY OF WATER.  All disposal methods must be in compliance with state / Government regulations.  Regulations may vary in each location and should be verified prior to disposal.  Waster characterizations and compli- ance with applicable laws are the sole responsibility of the waster generator.
THE INFORMATION PRESENTED HERE PERTAINS ONLY TO THE PRODUCT AS SHIPPED IN   ITS INTENDED CONDITION AS DESCRIBED.  FOR UNUSED AND UNCONTAMINED PRODUCT, the preferred option is to send it to a reputable company who can recycle the product.

11. TRANSPORT INFORMATION
Keep dry during transportation.  Protect plastic film from damage to avoid product failures at end user.  Failure at that point could result in loads being unsafely contained.
